Uses of Water

The uses of water is used for drinking, cooking, bathing etc.,. Plants and animals can not live without water. So, we should not waste the water.

There is 80% of water is there on the earth about 97% of earth's water is in the oceans. only 3% of the earth's water can be used for drinking. 80% of water is frozen in the form of polar ice caps. we can live without water for about 1 week. The water that we use mainly comes from rivers, ponds, lakes and wells. Often sand, dirt, mud, germs etc., make this water unfit for consumption. We call these substances impurities. Impurities are of 2 kinds they are:

1. Soluable impurities are the ones that dissolves in water (Eg: Salt)


2. Insoluable Impurities are the ones that do not dissolves in water (Eg: sand)

Water Pollution

water pollution sources into two categories: point and non-point. Point sources of water pollution are stationary locations such as sewage treatment plants, factories and ships. Non-point sources are more diffuse and include agricultural runoff, mining activities and paved roads. Under the Clean Water Act, the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit program contr ols water pollution by regulating point sources that discharge pollutants into waters of the United States. EPA works with state and local authorities to monitor pollution levels in the nations water and provide status and trend information on a representative variety of ecosystems.

So, we should not pollute water

National Flag

The National Flag is a horizontal tricolour of deep saffron (kesaria) at the top, white in the middle and dark green at the bottom in equal proportion. The ratio of width of the flag to its length is two to three. In the centre of the white band is a navy-blue wheel which represents the chakra. Its design is that of the wheel which appears on the abacus of the Sarnath Lion Capital of Ashoka. Its diameter approximates to the width of the white band and it has 24 spokes. The design of the National Flag was adopted by the Constituent Assembly of India on 22 July 1947.

కురుక్షేత్ర సంగ్రామం

మహాభారతంలో కురుక్షేత్ర యుద్ధం ఒక ప్రముఖ ఘట్టం. ఈ యుద్ధం దాయాదులైన కౌరవులకు పాండవులకు మద్య హస్తినాపురం సింహాసనం కొరకు జరిగింది. అప్పటి అన్ని రాజ్యాలూ ఈ యుద్ధంలో పాల్గొన్నాయి. ఈ యుద్ధం కురుక్షేత్రం అను ప్రదేశము నందు జరిగినది. కురుక్షేత్రం భారతదేశంలోని హర్యానా రాష్ట్రంలో ఉన్నది.

ఈ యుద్ధం పదునెనిమిది రోజులు జరిగినది. మహాభారతంలో ఈ యుద్ధం గురించి భీష్మ పర్వము, ద్రోణ పర్వము, కర్ణ పర్వము, శల్య పర్వము మరియు సౌప్తిక పర్వము లందు వివరించి ఉన్నది. భగవద్గీత మహాభారతము యుద్ధానికి ఆదిలో ఆవిర్భవించింది. పాండవవీరుడైన అర్జునునకు రధసారధి శ్రీకృష్ణుడు. అర్జునుని కోరికపై కృష్ణుడు రణభూమి మధ్యకు రధాన్ని తెచ్చాడు. అర్జునుడు ఇరువైపులా పరికించి చూడగా తన బంధువులు, గురువులు, స్నేహితులు కనిపించారు. వారిని చూచి అతని హృదయం వికలమైంది. రాజ్యం కోసం బంధుమిత్రులను చంపుకోవడం నిష్ప్రయోజనమనిపించింది. దిక్కుతోచని అర్జునుడు శ్రీకృష్ణుని "నా కర్తవ్యమేమి?" అని అడిగాడు. అలా అర్జునునికి అతని రధ సారధి శ్రీకృష్ణునికి మధ్య జరిగిన సంవాదమే భగవద్గీత.
